I’d have given it 5 stars, except for the fact that keeping one’s finger on the electric pump ‘on’ switch transmits vibrations to the hand. I have been in agony for two days after a day of using the machine, and doubt if I can ever use it again. That’s my problem. The machine does what it is supposed to very well. BUT PURCHASERS NEED TO BE WARNED ABOUT THE VIBRATION, IN CASE, LIKE ME, THEY HAVE NEUROLOGICAL PROBLEMS.
An unrequested item also came with the order, namely a box of firelighters. There was no explanation, which makes me wonder if it was a mistake. If so, that’s not good news for you. If it was a ‘free gift’ I would like to have been told so.
Works a treat, have already split sufficient two year seasoned oak to last the coming year and it has coped admirably with just about everything we have thrown at it. It is heavy and I am beginning to wish I had purchased a stand as well at least for splitting the small stuff. possibly not so desirable when splitting large and heavy sections.
Despite a few issues with delivery we were kept informed of any potential changes as soon as they arose and the delivery driver was most helpful unloading as close to where we wanted the splitter as he could get.
