Heavy-Duty Electric Log Splitter (7-Ton) DuoCutTM with Trolley, Work Bench & Guard
The FM10TW-7 is a powerful 7-ton electric log splitter suitable for heavy-duty domestic use. It has a ram pressure of 500 bar* to handle hard woods such as oak and is fitted with our new trolley stand that has lockable castors on the front to make it easily manoeuvrable.
To handle the higher pressure and harder wood, the FM10TW-7-TC has a number of upgrades including a reinforced heavy-duty fixed blade and a larger cylinder diameter than 5 ton models.
The FM10TW-7-TC comes with our trademarked DuocutTM blade, enabling it to split logs more efficiently than log splitters fitted with a traditional pusher and by being able to split from either end to cope with knotty wood. In addition, it is fitted with a ramstop that reduces the return distance and time when splitting shorter logs.
The latest model of the FM10TW-7-TC log splitter is fitted with a workbench and guard that are compliant with safety regulations. Unlike the cages fitted by other manufacturers, our guard has no holes in the side panels to ensure logs can’t get caught and damage the guard. It also allows a greater log diameter than other manufacturers, our guard allows 400mm* diameter whereas other manufacturers only allow 250mm.

I’d done plenty of research on the FM10 and I am really impressed with the product. I have been able to put it to good use already. The splitter made short work of some very nasty pieces of wood. I’m really happy with my choice. I am so glad that my days of manually splitting wood are over. I’d have no hesitation in recommending the splitter.
Great bit of kit, opening the bleed valve is easily forgotten, perhaps a prominent notice or proximity switch?
Trust me. I have spent HOURS over MONTHS looking at log splitters. Every SINGLE time, I would come back to Forest Master. It arrived a few days ago. I built it yesterday, and I just spent a tough (I’m 62) but joyful 6 hours, processing a large willow tree that was felled a year ago – but also some damson, apple and some ash, into firewood. It is awesome. I have cut maybe 450mm diameter slices, as well as every size below that. A bit of a faff to get the biggest pieces inside the guarding – but so easy – with multiple short strokes, rotating after each split. Trust me – some of the pieces were so knotted, I was sure it would not split. It never failed, although 3 out of maybe 200 pieces I have cut, are not fully separated (stringers??? – not sure what you’d call ’em, but will be so easy now to deal with manually. I have never used ANY log splitter before – but I am a Mekky Engineer from the steel making industry – so no dafter than anyone else – and this is the BEST machine I could have bought for our 2 acre Victorian farm house. Absolutely love it guys.
