The FM8T-TC 5-ton Forest MasterTM log splitter is the ideal product when using small to medium wood burners. Unlike other small log splitters which only have a 1500 watt motor and produce 4 ton of force, our FM8 has a 2200 watt motor and produces 5 ton of force. It is also fitted with a stronger moving carriage that holds the pusher block so that it can split harder wood. It is capable of cutting logs up to 370mm in length and 300mm in diameter. To comply with the latest safety regulations it has button and lever operation. It comes filled with hydraulic oil so it is ready to use out of the box.
The FM8T-TC models can also be fitted with our DuocutTM blade (sold separately) that increases the efficiency of splitting and handles knotty wood more easily. With the Duocut blade fitted you can cut logs up to a maximum length of 300mm.
The brand new edition of the heavy-duty FM8T-TC log splitter comes with a workbench and guard to comply with all new safety regulations. Unlike the safety cages on other brands of splitter, our guard has sides with no openings, so that split logs cannot catch in an opening and cause damage. Our guard also allows logs up to 300mm* diameter to be split. The safety cages fitted on other brands only allow up to 250mm.
Theย FM8T-TC comes with our stand which uses the rear wheels from the log splitter and has simple foot support at the front.

good bit of kit
Good bit if kit
Only issue I had was trying to insert the the two rear screws into the front leg opening when fitting the stand leg. Impossible to get your fingers in and the screws are too short. Used two of my own longer screws in the end.
Other than that, itโs very well made, and worked wonderfully when I split around a hundred logs yesterday.
It would be helpful if the splitter and stand were more easily interchangeable. Having to disassemble the wheels to use the stand is a pain. A quick release design would be very useful.
