The FM5T-TC 5 ton log splitter is a fast, compact and lightweight 5-ton log splitter and the ideal product for beginners or when using small to medium wood burners. It is best suited to splitting soft or green wood if you are splitting hard or knotty wood, you should consider the FM10 series of Duocut log splitters.
The FM5T-TC has a quick cycle time of 9 seconds making it the fastest small log splitter. It can split logs up to 300mm / 12 inches in length.
The FM5T-TC has a 2200W motor and produces a genuine 5 ton of force, unlike other small log splitters which only have a 1500 watt motor and produce 4 ton of force.
With it’s compact size and weighing approximately 32kg, it is easy to move around and store. To comply with the latest safety regulations it has button and lever operation. It is supplied filled with hydraulic oil ready for use.
The log splitter comes with a workbench and guard to comply with all new safety regulations. Unlike the safety cages used by other manufacturers, our guard has sides with no openings so that split logs cannot catch in an opening and cause damage. It will allow you to split logs up to 300mm* in diameter, wheres the cages used by other manufacturers will only allow logs up to 250mm diameter.
Model FM5T-TC comes with our universal log splitter stand, which uses the rear wheels from the log splitter and has a simple foot at the front.
The FM5T-TC can also be fitted with our DuocutTM blade (sold separately), fitting the Duocut blade will reduce the max log length to 230mm.

An excellent bit of kit. Needed a splitter that was small and compact but strong enough to handle big lumps of hardwood. The FM5 does not disappoint. Super easy to use, small enough to stow away, and enough power to chomp through eucalyptus and semi seasoned oak. I’m a small statured woman who managed to rattle her way through 2m3 of 30cm ish long/wide cm hardwood rounds in about four hours. Pushed it to the limit with the eucalyptus, but it did it, and boy was it impressive. I just need three days of bedrest to recover!
I haven’t yet tried the stand nor the cage because of space limitation, but decided to get the one with the stand because we’re not getting any younger and the FM5T was only £20 more expensive than the one without the stand and the stand on its own costs nearly £70 as an extra.

This log splitter is robustly made and does an excellent job. Felt my time of swinging an axe was over so decided to buy this. Now realise I should have done this years ago. It is fast, efficient, easy to use. Far less effort needed compared to an axe and so much safer.
I cannot believe I have been using an axe for 35 years! Bought this because of a broken foot and need to get the wood chopped before winter. It’s been running 1.5 hours every night for 3 nights and its brilliant, loads of splitting power. The only pick up point is the centre bar on the stand is very long as the stand fits the entire range I suspect. I will just cut it off though so no issue
