Hexagonal impact socket, forged from chrome vanadium steel, hardened & tempered. Black phosphate finish for corrosion protection. 1/2 inch drive. The socket is manufactured with no tapered edge, this means it does not round off the wood chipper bolts when removing and tightening. Compatible with Forest Master Compact Wood Chipper Series.
Can be used with an impact gun if necessary.

You need one of these, as indicated taper on std socket will damage head and box spanners typically too soft, perfect for use with impact driver.

This tool is definitely a must have in the tool box for adjusting or replacing blades. I tried using a box spanner before using it, it wouldn’t work. A torque rating would be useful to stamp on it to make sure it is sufficiently tight.

Bought as recommended for changing the chipper blades when they require replacement, can’t comment much except on the quick processing of my order which was excellent.

I struggled for ages trying to remove the bolts in order to change the blades in my chipper (the only negative experience I’ve had with it!). Bought a new socket and the job was completed in minutes proving once again that having the right tool is always better! Fast delivery despite being pre Christmas.
