The FM10TW-TC is a 5 ton electric log splitter for domestic use. It features a trolley stand that has lockable castors on the front. This makes it more manoeuvrable than the traditional stands that have wheels at the rear and just a flat foot at the front. It has a ram pressure of 400 bar* which allows it to handle most wood that is used domestically.
The FM10TW-TC comes with our trademarked DuoCutTM blade, enabling it to split logs more efficiently than log splitters fitted with a traditional pusher and by being able to split from either end to cope with knotty wood. In addition, it is fitted with a ramstop that reduces the return distance and time when splitting shorter logs.
The latest model of the FM10TW-TC log splitter is fitted with a workbench and guard that are compliant with safety regulations. Unlike the safety cages fitted by other manufacturers, our guard has no holes in the side panels to ensure logs can’t get caught and damage the guard. Our guard will also accommodate logs up to 400mm* in diameter, other manufacturers only take 250mm diameter logs.
The FM10TW-TC can be used with our splitter workbench to make splitting logs easier. The Forest Master Splitter Work Bench is a unique (Community Registered Design) accessory that catches the logs as they are split and eliminates the need to bend down to pick up split logs. Simple to set up, it quickly bolts onto the log splitter in place of the standard log guide rails.

Machine is simple to use, easily goes through logs.
After lots of research on other brands, I ended up buying a lightly used FM10TW on Ebay (sorry, money is tight) about 5 years ago. Although it had only done a few hours by the previous owner. It’s not missed a beat in the last 5 years I’ve owned it, and there’s been only a dozen or so knotted monster trunks probably vastly oversized for this splitter in the 100s of hours I’ve spent on mine. Simple machine, minimal servicing. I rarely leave reviews but my personal experience has been great with mine and it’s a game changer as we are a farm surrounded by so much fallen and seasoned oak, I just don’t have energy using an axe with the amount I need to split ๐
Works well. Does what it says on the tin just wish the motor button was a bit more accessible .
Very helpful, phoned a few times to ask questions everybody was helpful who I spoke with
