Georgian "By Courage, Not Cunning" Chalcedony Seal Fob baguette An incredible star ring datingDATE: Georgian, c. 1801 This amazing Georgian seal fob is dedicated to a Lord Adam Gordon, who died August 13th, 1801 aged 72. The base of this piece is set with chalcedony, intaglio carved with the Gordon family crest and the motto "Animo Non Astutia" translating to "By Courage, Not Cunning", well suited to this commander in chief of the forces in Scotland.
